First of all let me introduce myself I am Emmilee Sinclair I am 12 years old and I want to be a animal abuse attorney that hopefully tells you I am a total animal lover and this was something I struggled with. Any way a MUCH MORE SIMPLE way to say this would be.... You know how God didn't really want to give Israel a king but he knew he had to.Same concept you see " By the law there has to the shedding of blood for without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness" Sorry I don't remember where that was found in the Bible but it's there and this was a symbol to the Israelites of how important and powerful God is. For a sinful man to approach God he has to kill an innocent creature you see there was kind of no way to rid of sin so God compromised kind of .The person touched the head of the animal and then his sin was passed from him to the animal. Back then sin really killed I mean really if you disobeyed God and went into the Holy of Holies you would be killed and sin is like a disease so once the animal had the sin it had to be killed. Then there was the blood that also had to be shed and since they couldn't kill each other and plants don't shed blood they had to kill animals It was something that had to be done it wasn't enjoyed. By God it was but only because he knew that person was cleansed of their sin but for the people they did not enjoy it. Another kind of off subject but still important thing is the Brazen Alter was in the courtyard - anyone know why? Because God was in the Holy of Holies and no sinful blood could be shed there for where God is there is no sin
